The MCSDI-1 Portable HD/SD-SDI Media Converter from Focus Enhancements is a portable media converter that is small enough to be mounted on your camcorder, but robust enough to perform professional studio-quality conversions. The unit is designed to convert HD analog, SD analog, or digital HDMI input signals to SD-SDI or HD-SDI output. This solution is well suited for use in live video production, corporate & industrial production, education & training, government work, and post-production facilities, among many other possible applications.

The converter includes technology that automatically detects the input signal type. This feature makes the converter simpler to use without the need for setting changes. The unit also includes support for closed captions. Moreover, it can accommodate (2) channels of audio input and embed them both in the SDI signal, which allows you to manage both video and audio transmission on a single SDI cable.
